THE STAMP CARVING PROCESS
I have a variety of popular stamp designs made for adding your personalization. You can order a custom return address stamp surrounded by tropical plants, or a cute library stamp with an owl, rabbit or any of my other 50 standard icons. I also have designs ready for monograms and initials, which are especially nice for weddings.
PRE-MADE DESIGNS
I can also carve stamps from your own logo or other ready artwork or image. Please send me a message with your file attached, and let me know what kind of applications you intend to use it for: like stamping on business cards, shopping bags or stickers. I will let you know if I will be able to carve it, and what sizes would be best. Logos with lots of small details or text with serifs may need to be carved at a larger size to accommodate these details. Logos with more than 2 colors, or gradations or washes in value may not be suitable for hand carving. Logos with large graphic shapes and bold fonts are best for stamps! If you're not sure, send your logo over, and I'll let you know.
YOUR DESIGN OR LOGO
After we have decided on the design and payment has been processed, I will start on the stamp. First, I draw out the design in pencil on velum, and transfer it to the surface of the rubber. I then carve around all of the elements of the design. It is then mounted on a piece of reclaimed wood that has been neatly cut, routed, sanded and sealed with natural beeswax. The stamp is attached to the wood with industrial adhesive and arrives neatly wrapped and with instructions for care.

Custom stamps take 1-2 weeks to carve. Rush fee of 30% will reduce the lead tie to 2-3 days. Bulk discounts are available for customers who will purchase 3 or more stamps at once. Other sizes and ratios are available upon request. I do not recommend stamps larger than 5x5", as they take a great amount of pressure to print well and are generally not practical.
